We just found out that Apple made changes in iOS 5 that causes the Badges & Sounds to be OFF by default in apps.  Here's what you need to do to turn them back On.

Launch Apple's "Settings" app.
Select "Notifications".
Scroll down until you see Time Master and select it.

You will want to turn on two things:  "Badge App Icon" and "Sounds".

If you are using the "Audible Notifications" in Time Master you will also need to turn the Sounds on.

I just went to check Notification center to make sure I had this set up correctly . . . and Time Master is not listed in my Notification Center.

It should be there.  I checked on both my iPad and iPhone and both have it.  Make sure to full scroll through the list.  Note this is for iOS 5.  Let us know if you find it?

I just joined the forum because of this same issue.

Here is what I've found:

I was running Time Master on both my iPhone 3GS and an iPad 2 with no issues.  Both visual and sound notification were working fine.  I updated to iOS 5 on both devices and lost both the audible ding and the Badge App Icon.  I read this post and got both sound and badge icon back on my iPhone by changing the settings in 'Notifications.'

Did the same thing on my iPad but I only got the badge app icon back - no sound.

Then just today I got a new iPhone 4S.  Installed all of the same apps that I had on my iPhone 3GS including Time Master.  The badge app is there (without me doing anything but installing the app) but there is no sound.  When I go to 'Notifications,' Time Master is not listed anywhere.  As a matter of fact, there are only four things listed under 'Not in Notification Center.'  If I go back and look at my iPhone 3GS or iPad there is a whole slew of apps under the 'Not in...' section.

So, something is amiss between the three devices:  iPad 2 upgraded to iOS 5, iPhone 3GS upgraded to iOS 5, and the iPhone 4S running iOS 5 native.

Getting sound back again is extremely important for how I use the app.  For now I guess I'll just drag my 3GS with me to use Time Master since it is now the only device that the sound works on.

Hope this helps with some sleuthing...

Here is one thing that messed my iPad up when I moved to iOS 5.  I like using the switch on the side to "Lock Rotation".  When I first upgraded to iOS 5 beta, some apps had sound and others didn't.  I did a "Full Reset" to get it working again, but I think I now know what the problem was.  The original function of the switch was only to Lock Rotation.  In one of the later versions of the iOS Apple had changed the switches function from Locking Rotation to Mute.  Then when another future update came out that allowed us to have the option, I moved it back to Lock Rotation.  Now when I went to iOS 5, I believe that it thinks that the switch was being used for "Mute" instead of Lock Rotation.  I would bet that if I had changed the switch setting back to Mute, toggled the switch back and forth to mute, then un-mute, then the sound would have worked.  I could have then change the switch back to "Lock Rotation" and all would have been well.  If you have your switch set to Lock Rotation, give that a shot and let me know what happens?

Also a note about the "In Notification Center" vs. "Not in Notification Center".  Whenever you go into an app, the top row says "Notification Center".  If it is "ON" then it will be "In Notification Center".  If it is "OFF" then it will be in the "Not in Notification Center" section.  For Time Master, it doesn't matter if it is On or Off as we do not use the Notification Center.  The Notification center is the thing where you swipe from the very top of the screen down to reveal the Notification Center.

Update: I checked the Notification Center on our iPad 2 and sure enough, Time Master was not there.  Oddly enough the Badges were working.  So I went to Setup -> General -> Audible Notification and changed it from "Off" to "Every 10 min".  Then when I went back into the Notification Center, Time Master was now there.  So that is how you get it to show up in the Notification Center.

I tried it the 'lock rotation' switch in both positions and still no sound joy from my iPad.  And maybe I didn't state it before but Time Master does appear on my iPad under Settings>Notifications (as in it was there without me having to do anything).  I double checked that both 'Badge App Icon' and 'Sounds' are on.  And I double checked the app to make sure Settings>General>Audible Notifications is set to 'Every 10 min.'  The badge works in either orientation just fine, but no sound when the iPad is in either orientation.  Oh, and yes volume is all the way up on the iPad.

To get the app to show up on the iPhone 4S under Settings>Notifications, I had to toggle the app's Settings>General>Audible Notifications off, then back to 'Every 10 min.'  Now it is shows up there and settings double checked.  However, the behavior is the same:  the badge works but no sound.  Again, volume is up on the phone and it is silent switch is not engaged.

This is happening on my new XSMax.  Huh
I do not see Time-Master in the notifications area.

[updated by edl867]
 Cheesy
I was able to get badges back by:

1. backing up and syncing database
2. delete app from the phone
3. reinstall from App Store.
4. on first run it asked if it was allowed to send notifications.
5. restore database.

Thanks
