Title: Now Snooze Master won't snooze!!!
Post by: Paula Blanchard on September 11, 2013, 11:39:05 am
Every single event that I try to snooze sends me a dialog box that says:

COULD NOT EDIT EVENT
This event could not be modified.
Please edit the event manually in the Calendar app.
(That item does not belong to that event store.)

Every single one of these events was created on my Macbook.  Snoozemaster worked ok at first, then it stopped working completely, and now THIS!!!

Frustrating beyond belief!!!!!!!    Please fix this...  What did I pay $1.99 for?????????

Paula, I've replied to your email about the subject.

More information about such errors can be found on this thread:

Unfortunately, we don't currently have a solution for systems that refuse to save events.  :-\

Thanks, I'm running 10.8.3 on a MacBook Pro.  Isn't that the system (10.8) that SnoozeMaster was designed to work with??...

Yes. Starting with 10.8, Apple introduced a new interface (EventKit) for developers to add/edit/remove/monitor events, alarms, reminders, etc.

SnoozeMaster uses that interface to do everything it does. Unfortunately, when EventKit misbehaves, so does SnoozeMaster.

We've identified a few limitations with EventKit (it won't allow editing events from calendar invitations or delegate calendars, for example), and also a few bugs. We've reported them to Apple. It's frustrating for us too, but its all we can do. We'll see if 10.9 addresses any of those issues.

I'm glad after a reboot SnoozeMaster started working properly again for you.
